Professor and rector of the seminary of Genoa. In 1848 he was one of the promoters of the Catholic newspaper “L’Armonia” and collaborated with various newspapers. Was Bishop of Albenga, and then Cardinal Archbishop of Turin in 1883. His homilies were collected in several volumes.
