He is considered the greatest prose writer in Piedmontese language and has written several historical novels with frequent Masonic references. In particular, the “Don Pipeta l’Asilè, Racont Storic”, was translated into Italian by Augusto Monti on suggestion of Italo Calvino, after appearing in episodes on “l’Unità”. He was a member of the lodge “Cavour” in Turin and Grand Orator of the Grand Orient of Italy.
