21st June 2025: Talk and guided tour
The first event, "Brown’s Hotel and Luxury Living Stories at Kensal Green Cemetery", takes place on Saturday, 21st June 2025. The day begins with welcome drinks at the Dissenters Chapel, followed by an engaging talk by Andy Williamson about the fascinating and secretive history of Brown’s Hotel, one of London’s oldest luxury hotels. After a buffet lunch, participants will enjoy a guided tour uncovering the lives of hoteliers and notable figures from London’s high society who now rest at Kensal Green.
9th August 2025: Guided tour
The second event, "Joseph Locke and Others – A Tour of Kensal Green Cemetery", will be held on Saturday, 9th August 2025. This guided tour marks the 220th anniversary of renowned railway engineer Joseph Locke’s birth. It highlights the lives and legacies of key figures from Britain’s railway history who are buried within the cemetery grounds.
