Based on an excellent experience of the students in the lecture, a whole class on tourism product development was performed by European Cemeteries Route manager, Dušan Vrban.
City tourism based on cemeteries stories
As in the first lecture given to the students at the Bydgoszcz University, the concept of using stories from the cemeteries in a tourism product development was presented. Students were given a task to find an interesting story from their city or country on which they will develop the product.
Extending the tourism product beyond and incorporating cemeteries
The online class which lasted for 2 weeks, was extended with other important aspects of marketing research, product development and management. While students were given various possibilities to extend and adapt the product to the story, they were encouraged to keep it relevant for the cultural tourists that are possible visitors of the cemeteries.
